These terms cover using this website and selling household items to Charleston Downsizing Specialists (“we”, “us”), a business in Summerville, South Carolina. By sending a request or creating an account, you agree to them.

Requests and visits

Sending a request, and a walkthrough visit, are free, and you’re never obliged to sell anything. We may decline any request, for example if the items aren’t a fit or the location is too far.

Offers

Every offer we make is in writing, lists the items and the price, and says the last day it stands. Until you accept it, you can ask for a different amount or say no thanks. We may withdraw an offer before you accept it. An offer can’t be accepted after its last day.

Accepting an offer

You accept an offer by signing it on this website: choosing who you are to the items and typing your name. That creates a bill of sale, a binding agreement to sell the listed items for the listed price. Its terms are shown before you sign and kept exactly as you signed them. You may only accept if you own the items or have the legal right to sell them, and no one else has a claim on them.

Pickup and payment

We pay you when we pick the items up, by check, Zelle, Venmo, or cash, and give you a receipt. Ownership passes to us when you’re paid. We remove the items at our own cost and take care of your home.

Your photos and information

You keep the rights to photos you send. You let us use them to look at your items and handle your request. We use photos in our advertising only if you said yes, and only photos of items we bought from you. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Your account and links

Keep your password, and the private links we email you, to yourself: anyone with them can see your request. Tell us if you think someone else has used them.

Using the website

Please don’t send anything unlawful, misleading, or that isn’t yours to send, or try to interfere with the website. We may close an account that does.

Texts and emails

We text you only if you’ve agreed to it, about your request and scheduling. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP anytime to stop. Marketing emails are only sent if you’ve asked for them, and every one has an unsubscribe link.

Limits

We work hard to keep this website accurate and available, but we can’t promise it will always be free of errors or interruptions. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under South Carolina or federal law that can’t be limited.

Law, changes, and contact
